About

One word: PASSION.

I provide workouts for busy men and women who are having trouble getting to the gym or studio for workouts. I am a full-time Pilates Instructor and the owner of Core Studio Pilates in Indian Trail, NC. My passion is to help folks who want to feel good about their bodies and their health.

I am a proud mom of three kids, so I know first-hand how easy it is to set goals and have good intentions. I cannot tell you how many times I was ready to get home from my office job for a workout to find one was sick with a fever or we had an extra soccer practice that day. I get it. I get you. Some days are hard…some weeks are hard! I also know you can do it. I have intentionally created workouts to fit your schedule. I believe in you!

I graduated with a Dance Education degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro back in 1999. I once had dreams of a dance career, but I learned early in my career that my passion was teaching over performing. In fact, my passion was to teach ALL bodies…so the exploration began. After the birth of my second child I had no time to get to the studio so I ordered the set of Winsor Pilates DVD set and was faithful to my Pilates workouts at least three nights every week. Amazed at how quickly I was able to get my pre-baby body back I decided I loved it enough to teach it. Then the intense training began!

I am most proud to be the Founder of Core Compassion Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit that offers post-rehabilitative Pilates to women and men battling breast cancer. You can learn more by visiting www.corecompassionproject.org.

I was seen lucky enough to be found in a full page ad for TRX Suspension Training in the 2014 May Issue of SHAPE Magazine, and was featured in Pilates Style Magazine in 2013 and 2014. I am honored to be included in the 2015 Issue of Pilates Style Magazine Article, “9 Habits Breast Cancer Experts Want You To Know.” Aside from my passion for post-rehab services inside my studio, I have conditioned more mamas than I can count, more grandmothers than I can count, more career people than I can count, more athletes than I can count, and even a few beauty queens! So…now I am coming you! Whew!¬†
