I spent two weeks in November on a mission trip to Honduras. I knew I wanted to blog about it, but no words do justice to my experience. Last year was my first trip there, so I was grateful to go again and continue the friendships that were formed last year. I decided the best way to explain my experience is to leave you with the lessons I learned from the people of Pena Blanca who I now call my family, and a picture suitable for each lesson.

The question that weighed on me was whether or not a one week mission trip can really help others, or if it is more about the "feel good" for the person going. Especially when there is so much need where we live.

I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks, because I have been in Honduras. I returned with a full schedule, but truth be known, I wasn't sure what to write in order to give this life changing trip justice. It's amazing what one week can do for the soul. After a lot of thought, I decided to simply post two journal entries I wrote halfway through my week and let the photos speak for themselves...
